Cyber Security Internship – UK

Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Azure Sentinel, Splunk, etc.)

• Identify suspicious activities and escalate incidents as required.

• Perform basic malware analysis and threat intelligence research.

• Assist in identifying vulnerabilities and potential risks.

• Run vulnerability scans and document findings.

• Support the remediation process with the senior cyber team.

• Prepare incident reports and maintain security logs.

• Help create SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for cyber workflows.

• Work on real-time cyber security projects from the UK team.

• Assist in SOC operations, policy updates, and security testing activities.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of networks, Windows/Linux, firewalls, and security concepts

• Knowledge of cyber threats, phishing, malware, and common attack vectors

• Basic awareness of scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)

• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Willingness to learn and work on real-time scenarios

• Certification knowledge (Security+, CEH, etc.) is a bonus

• Foundational knowledge of cloud environments, especially Microsoft Azure (added advantage)

Internship Details

• Location: Remote/London

• Duration: 8–12 weeks
